US National Park Service, Bar Harbor, Maine, seeks a Maintenance Worker (Trails) WG-4749-07 to perform independent trail construction and maintenance in backcountry settings. Duties include drainage, tread work, stone steps, and stone walls, following historic standards and cultural guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have experience with drystone masonry, use of common hand tools, and ability to move materials with cable rigging in remote areas.
First time hires to the federal government typically start at the beginning salary in the range for their respective grade level.
WG-07: $25.24 (Step 1) to $29.48 (Step 5) per hour - Central and Northern Maine (RUS) Wage Area
