Job description

Summary:

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Worker supports the production staff by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment. The role involves multitasking, prioritizing tasks, and responding to unforeseen issues that may disrupt production or are requested by non-production staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and periodic inspections of equipment using the preventive maintenance program to ensure proper functioning.
• Conduct mechanical, electrical, welding, or machining maintenance, including lubrication, inspection, and parts replacement.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, or install new plant equipment.
• Utilize hand, electrical, bench, and machine tools for repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain records of equipment readings, history, parts used, and scheduled maintenance activities.
• Follow safe work practices and procedures, including lockout/tagout, PPE, respirator use, and injury/illness prevention.
• Operate manual forklifts and automatic scissor lifts safely.
• Welding skills are a plus.

Ideal candidates are punctual, reliable, team players with good communication skills.

Education and Experience:

Minimum of five years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (e.g., email, text, MS Office).
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
