Job summary

The Town of Boone Public Works Department is seeking a Maintenance Worker in the Landscape Division to perform installation, maintenance and repair projects, and to operate equipment under supervision. Work is performed under regular supervision.

Required: a high school diploma or equivalent and some maintenance or construction experience; a valid driver’s license in good standing; pesticide/herbicide certification may be required. OPEN UNTIL FILLED.

Work is performed under regular supervision.

Education and Experience

Any combination of experience equivalent to graduation from high school and some maintenance and/or construction experience.

Special Requirements

Possession of an appropriate driver's license valid in the State of North Carolina. May require pesticide/herbicide certification.

Salary

$45,782 Employee will serve a six-month probation
