Job summary

San Bernardino County is recruiting for Maintenance Workers III to join our Special Districts Department, Water and Sanitation Division!

In this role, you will serve as a lead worker overseeing the operation and maintenance of water treatment, water distribution, and wastewater collection systems. You will also provide functional supervision to other maintenance workers and help ensure essential water and wastewater facilities operate safely and efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current California SWRCB D3 Water Distribution Operator certification.
• Current California SWRCB T2 Water Treatment certification.
• Three years of recent experience within the last five years performing maintenance, repair, or inspection of water/wastewater equipment and machinery.
• Valid California Class C driver’s license.

Desired Qualifications:

• California Class A unrestricted driver’s license with tanker and hazardous materials endorsements.
• D4 Water Distribution or T3 Water Treatment certification.
• Lead worker experience in the water or wastewater industry.
