Job summary

San Bernardino County is seeking Maintenance Workers II for the Special Districts Department, Water and Sanitation Division. The role focuses on maintaining, inspecting, and repairing water distribution and wastewater collection systems across the county.

Ideal candidates have two years of hands-on maintenance/inspection experience, along with California SWRCB certifications and a valid California driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Two years of recent maintenance/inspection experience in water/wastewater equipment and machinery.
• Valid California SWRCB certifications: D2 + T1 or T2 + D1.
• Valid California Class C driver's license or higher.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspection, and repair work on water distribution systems.
• Maintain and service wastewater collection systems and related equipment.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

Two years of recent experience within the last five years in the maintenance and repair or inspection of water/wastewater equipment and machinery.
Current California SWRCB certifications:

• D2 Water Distribution and T1 Water Treatment, OR T2 Water Treatment and D1 Water Distribution certifications.
• Valid California Class C driver’s license or higher.

What We Offer:

Annual salary: $57,948.80 – $79,705.60
Recruitment bonus up to $2,000 for eligible new hires.
