An established industry player is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team in maintaining a water/wastewater treatment facility. This role involves performing essential maintenance tasks, ensuring the facility operates smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities include general upkeep of the plant, assisting trades, and utilizing computer systems for recordkeeping and work orders. Candidates should have a solid background in maintenance work and be physically capable of lifting heavy equipment. Performs semiskilled work related to the operation and maintenance of a water/wastewater treatment facility. Performs general maintenance of water/wastewater plants, including maintaining appearance of water plant and production wells, cleaning, painting, landscape work, and the loading and unloading of trucks; assists trades as needed; reports discrepancies. Uses computers for work order systems, recordkeeping, payroll, and ordering parts and materials.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in laboring work providing a familiarity with general maintenance work.
PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE WITH: Trash/sump pumps; power/hand tools; irrigation systems; general maintenance at a water plant. Also desirable: Graduation from high school/equivalent recognized certification.
Must be able to lift 75 pounds. Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment. Respiratory screen/chest x-ray and Hearing Loss Test required for selected candidate.
