Job summary

The City of Sunrise is seeking a full-time Maintenance Worker to perform routine manual work in construction, maintenance and repair of city facilities, streets, sewers and water lines. This role involves landscaping, sign installation, and patching/repair tasks in various city projects.

You will support field operations, operate basic hand tools, and help maintain compliance with safety practices while serving the Sunrise community.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or GED equivalency.
• Proof of highest level of completed education must be submitted with application.
• Reasonable full-time work experience in Building Maintenance or Public Works maintenance and/or repair.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads dirt, shell, sand, cement, timbers, and other materials for construction.
• Assists in digging grade, setting forms, and concrete work; drives equipment to sites.
• Performs routine manual work in building maintenance and street, sewer, and water line repairs.
• Promotes safety and follows hazardous-condition procedures.
