The City of La Verne is seeking motivated individuals for the position of Part-Time Maintenance Worker in the Public Works Department, specifically within the Streets and Parks divisions. Position Details:
- Up to 28 hours weekly, with a 4-day workweek including 3-day weekends (closed Fridays).

Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, repair, and maintenance work on street facilities, structures, parks, and community buildings.
- Operate light to moderate construction equipment such as trucks, asphalt rollers, concrete saws, and more.
- Repair streets, including patching and asphalt work.
- Pour and finish concrete, repair water and sewer lines, and maintain drainage systems.
- Maintain parks and grounds, including planting, watering, trimming, and cleaning.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and respond to emergency situations.
Physical and Knowledge Requirements:
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 100 pounds and working in severe weather.
- Knowledge of construction and maintenance methods, safety practices, and equipment operation.
- Ability to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and work safely with others.
Experience and Licensing:
- Minimum one year of paid experience in landscape maintenance, asphalt, construction, or concrete work.
- Valid California driver’s license required; commercial license preferred.
- Must obtain a driving history from DMV prior to employment at own expense.
