THE CITY OF BELLFLOWER IS CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR THREE (3) PART-TIME PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE I POSITIONS. THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION WITH A MAXIMUM OF 29 HOURS PER WEEK. MUST BE AVAILABLE MONDAY-FRIDAY BETWEEN 6AM-4PM. THIS RECRUITMENT WILL CLOSE WHEN A SUFFICIENT NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED.

Position Overview

Under supervision, performs construction, maintenance, and repair of city infrastructure including streets, parks, and facilities; operates tools and equipment; performs related work.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform street, sidewalk, and stormwater system maintenance and repairs.
2. Participate in asphalt and concrete maintenance activities.
3. Maintain landscaped areas and perform graffiti abatement.
4. Assist in park and facility maintenance, including irrigation and equipment repairs.
5. Operate equipment and ensure safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• One year of relevant maintenance or construction experience preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to perform physical tasks and operate tools and equipment.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, 6AM-4PM.
• Must pass background and physical assessments.
