Job summary

La Posada Green Valley is seeking a full-time Maintenance Worker HVAC to service and repair residential HVAC systems on-site. You will diagnose issues, check freon levels, and ensure safe, compliant operation across apartment and common areas.

Required: high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of related maintenance experience with basic mechanical skills; Arizona driver’s license; CPR/First Aid certifications preferred. The role includes a strong safety focus and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of related maintenance experience with basic mechanical skills.
• Must have or obtain Arizona Driving License; CPR/AED and First Aid certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to resident HVAC malfunctions and repairs problems promptly.
• Checks freon levels, repairs leaks and charges properly.
• Inspects HVAC units and electrical controls for proper operation; repairs as needed.
• Maintains records and adheres to EPA regulations.
• Keeps work areas clean, safe, and organized; uses PPE as required.
• Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by Lead, Supervisor or Director.

Essential Functions

• Responds to resident request for HVAC malfunctions. Repairs all HVAC problems in a timely manner.
• Checks freon levels, repair leaks and charge to appropriate levels.
• Inspects condenser units for all electrical controls, fans, and compressors for proper operation. Repair and replace as necessary. Clean units when necessary.
• Inspects evaporator units for proper operation, all parts functioning properly.
• Handles emergencies immediately and appropriately.
• Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by Lead, Supervisor or Director.
• Renovates and maintains all apartment and common area HVAC equipment.
• Maintains all required records and information pertinent to work assignments, including EPA regulated information.
• Keeps work areas, carts, tools and equipment orderly, clean and safe.
• Works safely and participates in all training programs, as assigned.
• Attend all mandatory meetings.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Must have or be able to obtain upon hire a current Arizona Driving License
• Must have or be able to obtain upon hire a CPR/AED, First Aid Certification,
