Job summary

Hillcrest Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Massachusetts is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Worker to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility. You will perform routine grounds maintenance, electrical, plumbing, and other repairs as directed, with a focus on patient comfort and safety.

This full-time role offers weekly pay, weekend and evening differential, and a benefits package including medical insurance, vacation time, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Experience in building/facility maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical tasks.
• Commitment to safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, etc., as necessary/directed.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed.
• Replace burned out lights bulbs, to include, exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, etc., and perform cleaning duties in very high places.
• Service heating and cooling units/systems, as specified by the manufacturer, and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Maintain general plant and facility in good repair, ensuring a safe, clean and orderly environment.
• Maintain an atmosphere of positive emphasis as well as a calm environment throughout the facility.
• Assure maintenance supplies have been replenished in work areas as necessary.
• Assist other in lifting heavy equipment, supplies, etc., as directed or requested.
• Other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by your supervisor, department director, and/or administrator.
