The City of Rancho Cucamonga is seeking a maintenance worker to perform routine maintenance on building systems, conduct repairs, and support renovation projects at city facilities.
You will handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical tasks, maintain lighting, and assist with safety compliance. Availability for day, night, and weekend shifts is required, with a valid California driver’s license and at least one year of maintenance experience.

Graduation from high school or equivalent and one year of experience in construction or maintenance work or any combination of training and experience that provides the desired knowledge and abilities.
Knowledge of methods, common tools and equipment used in public works construction and maintenance work; basic safety precautions and procedures. Ability to perform skilled and unskilled maintenance work; operate and perform routine maintenance and servicing of a variety of power-driven equipment and power tools; understand and follow verbal and written instructions; work safely and efficiently with others, and assist in the training of less experienced workers; deal tactfully with the public.
Possession of or ability to obtain an appropriate California driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
Pass a reference and background verification. References will not be contacted until a mutual interest has been established; and
Provide proof of a valid California driver's license and be insurable; and
Pass a pre-employment medical exam, including drug/alcohol screening.
If hired, candidate will be required to complete a verification form designated by Immigration and Naturalization Service to certify that they are eligible for employment in the United States of America and furnish proof certifying legal authorization to work in the United States.
