City of Chardon’s Division of Water and Wastewater seeks a Maintenance Worker for 2nd shift to operate and maintain facilities, read meters, and assist in repairs. This role involves field duties, meter work, and responding to emergencies.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This is manual work involving the maintenance and operation of the City's water and wastewater facilities.
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all- inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Graduation from high school (or GED) with a minimum of (1) year of experience in a public works or public service department or similar field is required. Possession of a valid Ohio Commercial Driver’s license is required or the ability to obtain upon hire.
This is a 2nd shift position - work hours are generally 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The City of Chardon is an equal opportunity employer.
Category Full-Time Status Open Salary This is a full-time position with benefits and OPERS retirement with a hiring salary range of $24.50/hr. to $27.01/hr. depending on experience.
