Job summary

Champion Homes in Ephrata, PA is seeking a Plant Maintenance Worker to inspect, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and building systems to support production. The role involves diagnosing issues, repairing components, and coordinating timely maintenance to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate will perform routine inspections, execute preventive maintenance, and collaborate with the production team to keep facilities and equipment in safe, reliable condition.

Qualifications

• One‑year certificate from college or technical school.
• Three to six months of related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
• Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
• Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Schedule maintenance in a manner that will not hinder the production team from meeting their scheduled timelines.
• Coordinate repairs in a timely manner to assist the production team in meeting their scheduled timelines.
• Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
• Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment.
• May be required to perform non-maintenance duties on a temporary basis.
