Job summary

Champion Home Builders, Inc. in Weiser, Idaho, is seeking a Plant Maintenance Worker to install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and building systems. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and service mechanical and electrical components to keep production running smoothly.

This non-exempt position offers on-the-job training, with a benefits package including 401k, paid vacation, paid holidays, medical, RX, dental, vision, life insurance, and a production bonus after the training period.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to diagnose problems or repair machines.
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Schedule maintenance in a manner that will not hinder the production team from meeting their scheduled timelines.
• Coordinates repairs in a timely manner to assist the production team in meeting their scheduled timelines.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
• Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
• May be required to perform non-maintenance duties on a temporary basis.

Education

Summary

Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems by performing the following duties.
