Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Cemetery Maintenance Associate in Westminster, CA. You will maintain lawn and walkways, assist with graveside setup, and help prepare crypts for interments.

The role includes operating basic equipment and performing minor repairs while following safety rules and company procedures. The position requires the ability to lift up to 150 lbs with assistance, walk/stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent or relevant work experience.
• Minimum 6 months of relevant experience.
• Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment (shovel, rake, lawn mower, etc.).
• Ability to walk/stand for long periods and lift up to 150 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawn, trim around trees and markers, lay sod, and move flowers.
• Clear debris and maintain drives and walkways; snow removal where applicable.
• Set up graveside arrangements and chapel for services.
• Prepare crypts for entombments and assist with openings/closings of interments.
• Operate equipment for digging graves under supervision.
• Maintain and repair cemetery features and markers.
• Observe safety rules and comply with OSHA and company procedures.
