Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Cemetery Maintenance Associate in Groves, TX. Responsibilities include maintaining cemeteries, mausoleums, and funeral home locations; mowing, trimming, grave site preparation, and setting up for graveside ceremonies.

Under supervision, you may operate a backhoe and perform minor repairs, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance. Prior experience and high school education are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cemetery grounds and lawn, trim trees, walkways, and markers.
• Dig graves and assist with interments, entombments, and inurnments.
• Set up for openings/closings and graveside ceremonies; prepare crypts.
• Operate backhoe under supervision when required without damaging surrounding vaults or monuments.
• Install and maintain grave markers and monuments; repair cemetery features as needed.
