Job summary

Fairmount Behavioral Health System on a wooded campus in Philadelphia is seeking a full-time Maintenance Worker to install, repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems. You will inspect sprinkler, lighting and wiring and care for hospital grounds as part of a dedicated team.

The role requires a high school diploma and trade school preferred, with 2 years in related maintenance. A valid driver's license is required; electrical/plumbing licenses are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school graduate; trade school preferred.
• Two years' experience in carpentry, building, equipment and utility maintenance preferred.
• Valid driver's license required; Electrical or Plumbing license preferred.
• Knowledge of maintenance, power and hand tools, HVAC, electrical and plumbing repair.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment, concrete, brick and block work, HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Conduct routine inspection of sprinkler systems, smoke detectors, emergency lighting and wiring.
• Provide general care and maintenance to hospital grounds.

Responsibilities

Located on a 27-acre wooded campus, Fairmount Behavioral Health System is a peaceful, therapeutic environment for patients and families. Fairmount is a major regional resource for children, adolescents and adults who have psychiatric and behavioral problems as well as alcohol and drug dependency needs. The spacious campus borders Fairmount Park in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. With one of the leading alcohol and drug detox and rehab programs in Philadelphia, Fairmount is the provider of choice for individuals requiring specialized co-occurring psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment. We are currently seeking full-time Maintenance Worker to join our team.

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, concrete, brick and block work, HVAC and plumbing systems. The Maintenance Worker is also responsible for providing routine inspection of sprinkler system, smoke detectors, emergency lighting and wiring, in addition to providing general care and maintenance to hospital grounds.

Qualifications

Additional Requirements:

• Education: High school graduate and trade school preferred.
• Experience: Two (2) years’ experience in carpentry, building, equipment, and utility maintenance preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Valid driver’s license required, Electrical or Plumbing license preferred
