Job summary

Immaculate Mary Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare is seeking a Maintenance Worker to keep HVAC, plumbing, lighting and other mechanical systems in top condition. The role supports residents and staff by ensuring safety and comfort, with a quick process to get started.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years’ experience in facility maintenance work with an emphasis in a healthcare environment.
• Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds, push, pull, and move residents, equipment, supplies, etc., up to 200 pounds.
• Flexible work hours in order to work beyond normal work hours, weekends, holidays, and in inclement weather, when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mechanical equipment, including heating and air conditioning.
• Replace light bulbs, batteries on smoke alarms, and ballasts as needed.
• Perform plumbing duties (unclogging sinks toilets, repairs faucets).
• Assist with snow and ice removal as needed.
• Maintain an atmosphere that ensures privacy, dignity, and well-being of residents, staff, and visitors in a safe and secure environment.
• Respond to off-hours critical calls to resolve facility issues.

Education

Maintenance Worker Responsibilities
