Job summary

Eckerd Connects is hiring a Maintenance Worker for our Jacksonville center. You will handle cleaning, general maintenance, and grounds keeping, following work orders and ensuring all tools and equipment are kept in good repair.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a drug screen with a background check. Earn an hourly rate of $18.00–$20.00 and enjoy comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • One year of related work experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Must pass a drug screen per policy.
  • Employment contingent on successful nationwide background check.

Responsibilities

  • The Maintenance Worker cleans and handles general maintenance work orders throughout the center.
  • Performs interior and exterior janitorial tasks, building maintenance, and grounds keeping per work orders.
  • Performs minor construction tasks, mows lawns, maintains grounds, and cleans up trash and papers.
  • Ensures tools and equipment are in good repair and stored properly.
  • Transports equipment and commodities throughout the center.
  • Maintains a clean, safe environment in line with Center standards and zero-accident goals.

Service Contract Act (SCA) Position

Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $20.00

Duties and Responsibilities
  • The Maintenance Worker is responsible for cleaning and general maintenance work orders throughout the center.
  • The Maintenance Worker performs interior and exterior janitorial, building maintenance and grounds keeping assignments according to work orders.
  • Performs minor building construction tasks, mows lawns, maintains grounds, and picks up trash and papers.
  • Ensures that all tools and equipment are in good repair and kept in appropriate storage sheds and closets.
  • Transports equipment and/or commodities throughout the center.
  • Ensures all equipment and facilities are clean and maintained in accordance with Center standards.
  • Maintains a work environment of zero accidents and injuries including no loss-time accidents.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required. One years' related work experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred.
  • Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
