Job Description

Under the general direction of the Supervisor of Maintenance & Grounds, the incumbent is responsible for maintaining high standards of quality workmanship and customer service to keep university properties neat and presentable.

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Flexibility
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of information
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of grounds keeping, greens keeping, and horticulture

Preferred Qualifications

• One to two years of maintenance operations experience
• At least 1 year as a supervisor or foreman

Job Duties

1. Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to faculty, staff, students, and the community
2. Foster effective work relationships among faculty, staff, and students
3. Participate in University committees
4. Oversee maintenance personnel duties
5. Plan the allocation of maintenance resources to meet campus needs
6. Manage small renovations and remodeling projects
7. Maintain high standards of quality and responsiveness
8. Complete institutional and program accreditation reports and other necessary reports
