Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking an entry-level Groundskeeper to maintain cemetery or funeral home grounds in Amarillo, TX. You will mow, trim, water, fertilize, and inspect grounds, ensuring a neat, respectful appearance across properties.

You will operate power equipment and participate in interment-related duties as needed. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Mows grass, plows snow, waters lawns, fertilizes and trims shrubs.

• Assists in openings/closings for interments, entombments, and inurnments.
• Performs minor cemetery/building/equipment repairs when needed.

Performs all groundskeeping and maintenance matters on the properties and maintains the overall appearance of a cemetery, mausoleum or funeral home location. Incumbent gains an understanding of how a cemetery operates.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESMows grass, plows snow, waters lawns, fertilizes and trims shrubs, tends flower beds and regularly inspects assigned work areas to ensure proper standards are maintainedOperates lawn and grounds equipment including push and power mowers, snow blowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers and other related power equipmentRemoves debris and trash from grounds.
