Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep and repair of agency facilities and equipment. You will ensure a safe, clean, and well‑maintained environment for staff, clients, and visitors, including floors, lighting, air filters, and general building repairs.

The role requires proficiency with hand tools, plumbing-related tasks, and floor care, with on-site work and potential on-call shifts. A Level II AHCA/DCF background screening is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months of maintenance experience.
  • 5 years of maintenance experience (preferred).
  • Know-how in carpentry and plumbing.
  • Able to operate hand tools, drills, and saws.
  • Familiarity with floor care equipment and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain facilities, equipment, and grounds in safe, operational condition.
  • Select and maintain materials for maintenance projects.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free.
  • Strip, wax, buff, and maintain floors as needed.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance and safety issues.
  • Report safety concerns and facility hazards.

This role helps ensure a safe, clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for staff, clients, and visitors.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain facilities, equipment, and grounds in a safe and operational condition.Select and maintain materials needed to complete maintenance projects.Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and free of hazards and debris.Clean job sites upon completion of work and properly store tools and materials at the end of each shift.Perform routine facility maintenance, including:Lighting inspections and bulb replacementAir filter maintenancePainting and wall repairsGeneral building repairs and upkeepParticipate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance and safety-related issues as assigned by the Facilities Manager.Strip, wax, buff, and maintain floors as needed.Identify and report safety concerns, potential abuse, compliance issues, and facility-related hazards.Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.Ability to sit, stand, bend, twist, and walk for extended periods.Ability to travel between buildings and work locations as needed.Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.Working ConditionsExposure to outdoor environments, chemicals, and treatment program settings.Regular interaction with clients, consumers, staff, and visitors.Occasional extended, irregular, evening, weekend, or on-call hours may be required.Background Screening RequirementCandidates must be eligible to successfully complete a Level II Background Screening through the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and the Department of Children and Families (DCF).
