Job summary

Ann-Storck-Center-1 is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform building repairs and preventive maintenance. You will address work orders, conduct weekly site walk-throughs, and prioritize safety in all tasks.

The role involves electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and small system repairs, along with after-hours support for events and emergencies. A valid Florida driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years’ experience in a trade or maintenance role.
• Florida driver’s license and valid auto insurance with clean record.
• Knowledge of building maintenance trades and safety practices.
• Ability to read assembly instructions and follow work orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance tasks as directed and per work orders.
• Conduct weekly building walk-throughs and prioritize safety-related work orders.
• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, structural, and equipment issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance including caulking, painting, and window/door repairs.
• Assemble/move furniture and set up rooms for events; assist in after-hours tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness, organize storage, and document item transfers.

Position Summary: The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of work related to the general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities and property.Areas of Responsibility:Repair and MaintenancePerforms repair and maintenance tasks as directed and following work orders.Performs a weekly walk through of assigned buildings and checks the work order book for entries.Addresses work orders in a timely manner; Gives priority to work orders related to safety.Troubleshoots minor maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement.Performs preventive building maintenance duties, caulks windows and doors, repairs and replaces broken windows.Performs routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks or urinals, fixing water leaks, leaking faucets and water fountains.Performs routine electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps and assists in repairing ballast and light fixtures.Assembles and moves furniture, hangs pictures and bulletin boards, moves and sets up tables and chairs.Repairs and replaces door knobs or locks, repairs door closures, patches holes in walls.Paints interior and exterior walls.Cleans outside windows, sidewalks and furniture.Cleans A/C vents quarterly to eliminate dust build up.Performs lawn maintenance and property clean-up as directed.Assists W/C Adaptive Equipment Coordinator with deep cleaning and fumigation of wheelchairs.Responds to maintenance needs after hours or on weekends as directed.Performs other tasks related to special events, hurricane preparedness, distributing supplies, vehicle maintenance, etc.StorageTransfers/retrieves items from storage as needed.Keeps storage units and closets organized.Documents all items transferred/retrieved from storage.Obtains the proper authorization before transporting any items to or from storage.MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:High School diploma or Equivalent.Three years’ experience in a trade or maintenance role.Current Florida Motor Vehicle license and automobile insurance with good driving record.Knowledge of trades related to building maintenance and repair.Knowledge of a variety of building maintenance procedures and techniques.Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for building and property maintenance and repair; Skill in using hand and power tools.Skills in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.Skill in reading and following assembly instructions.WORKING CONDITIONS: Work involves moderate to heavy work in all types of weather.
