Job summary

Serrato Corporation is seeking a facility maintenance supervisor to oversee student maintenance staff and perform essential maintenance duties to keep the facility in optimal condition. The role requires hands-on repairs, preventive maintenance, and accurate documentation of work orders.

Candidates should have at least 1–2 years of building maintenance experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Basic computer literacy including email and internet
• Trade skills in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, landscaping, painting
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Attention to detail in building maintenance

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and emergency repairs as needed
• Completes minor repairs such as patching holes and painting
• Repairs electrical receptacles, wires, switches, and fixtures
• Completes minor plumbing repairs such as sinks, water coolers, toilets, showers
• Paints touch-ups after repairs
• Completes work order forms
• Performs preventative maintenance and logs updates
• Hangs and repairs doors and installs locks
• Replaces broken windowpanes
• Maintains equipment and machinery
• Maintains heating and cooling units
• Assists grounds maintenance with fertilizers and weed control
• Maintains a safe and healthful work environment

Job description

Primary Position Objectives

Monitor, supervise and instruct student facility maintenance staff, while performing all required job duties to ensure our facility is well maintained.

Brief Description of Duties

• Performs maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
• Completes minor repairs such as patching holes and painting.
• Repairs electrical receptacles, wires, switches, and fixtures.
• Completes minor plumbing repairs such as replacement of sinks, water coolers, toilets, showers, and other plumbing items.
• Paint as needed for touch up and after repairs.
• Completes work order forms.
• Performs preventative maintenance activities and updates related logs.
• Hangs and repairs doors and installs locks.
• Replaces broken windowpanes.
• Performs general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• Performs general maintenance and repairs to heating and cooling units such as replacing pumps, motors, and minor parts, as needed.
• Assists with grounds maintenance by applying fertilizers and weed killers.
• Maintains a safe and healthful work environment at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Excel.
• Computer literacy with basic computer functions, email, internet, and basic programs such as Adobe Acrobat.
• Knowledge crafts skills such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical, landscaping, painting, ect..
• Knowledge in the use of trade-related hand and power tools.
• Attention to detail in building maintenance.

Experience

Minimum of one to two years' experience in building maintenance.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Certificates/Licenses/Registration

• Valid State Driver's License
