Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory is seeking a Maintenance Work Planner to oversee multidisciplinary craft work, focusing on facility maintenance, repairs, and tenant improvements within the Environment, Safety, and Health Directorate. On-site full-time position.

The role includes developing CMMS work packages, leading field walks, performing JHA per ISM, and coordinating across craft, facility managers, engineering, and ES&H to ensure safe, compliant execution.

Qualifications

• Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering technology, ES&H, facilities management, or related discipline.
• Experience developing, writing, and maintaining highly complex procedures, work control documents, or SOPs.
• Experience creating training materials related to maintenance planning, safety, or CMMS usage.
• Advanced experience developing complete maintenance work packages in a CMMS for moderate to complex work.
• Experience conducting field walkdowns and technical evaluations to verify scope and reflect field conditions.
• Strong knowledge of ISM principles and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
• Ability to coordinate with multiple groups to ensure safe execution and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage maintenance work packages in CMMS, including scope, sequencing, resources, materials, tools, permits, and labor estimates.
• Lead field walkdowns with craft, Facility Managers, and stakeholders to validate scope and conditions.
• Perform hazard identification and JHA development per ISM, incorporating controls and LOTO as needed.
• Collaborate with craft, engineering, and ES&H to resolve issues and ensure compliance.
• Translate work requests into executable plans through planning discussions and technical meetings.
• Review requests for permits, safety documentation, tools, and materials for safe execution.
• Manage revisions to work packages with field feedback and maintain compliance with work control processes.
• Ensure Davis-Bacon wage documentation where applicable and maintain planning SOPs.
