Base pay range

$105,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Position Overview

The Maintenance & Utilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and utility operations within the food manufacturing facility, ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning at peak efficiency while complying with USDA regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage and develop a team, implement maintenance strategies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Six Sigma.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the maintenance and utilities team to ensure efficient operation of all equipment and systems.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
  • Ensure compliance with USDA regulations and standards in all maintenance and utilities operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of equipment and facilities to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma methodologies to enhance maintenance processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and support production goals.
  • Train and mentor staff on best practices in maintenance and utilities management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance management within the food manufacturing industry, preferably with poultry.
  • Strong knowledge of USDA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
