Job summary

LAZ Parking is hiring Utilities/Janitorial Associates at St. Louis Lambert International Airport. The role covers cleaning, upkeep and utility duties across airport facilities, with HVAC, electrical and preventive maintenance tasks.

Schedules include Sat–Wed shifts, with 6:00 AM–2:30 PM or 2:00 PM–11:30 PM. Grounded by strong safety standards, this full-time position offers competitive benefits. Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, read and follow English instructions, and work

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Prior janitorial or maintenance experience preferred.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HVAC systems, inspect electrical components, and replace lights.
• Check generators and power systems; perform preventive maintenance.
• Repair walls, ceilings, doors, and fixtures; paint and patch as needed.
• Keep parking areas and garages clean and safe; snow removal as required.

Spirit of the Position

The LAZ Utilities/Janitorial Associate plays a vital role in ensuring our airport facilities remain clean, safe, and welcoming for all guests and employees. This position is responsible for performing routine cleaning, upkeep, and utility duties throughout the airport’s parking and common areas.

Principal Job Duties

• Maintaining HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning)


• Electrical inspections and light replacement


• Checking generators and power systems


• Preventive maintenance on equipment 800, 7400 (2) walk behinds, snow blowers


• Repairing walls, ceilings, fencing and floors


• Fixing doors, locks, and windows


• Painting and patching damaged areas


• Repairing walls, ceilings, and floors


• Fixing doors, locks, roofs and windows


• Painting and patching damaged areas


• Maintaining parking lots and garagesPot holes


• Snow removal, salting, and outdoor lightingStoring signs and barrels Ordering janitorial suppliesAble to lift 60 lbs

Minor Landscaping

Requirements

• Previous janitorial, custodial, or general maintenance experience preferred


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Must be able to read, write, and speak English


• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays


• Must pass required background checks and airport security clearance processes

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.


• Frequent bending, kneeling, and walking for extended periods


• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, including inclement weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.)
