Job summary

PACCAR Inc. is seeking a Unit Manager - Maintenance SG 24 in Columbus, MS to lead a large manufacturing maintenance team, ensuring safety, quality and timely production outcomes.

The role requires directing daily activities, training, and coordinating with maintenance and production staff across shifts. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of maintenance experience, 1–2 years in supervision, and familiarity with SAP/CMMS.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years manufacturing maintenance experience in a team environment.
• 1–2 years maintenance supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt trained preferred.
• Flexibility to work any shift required.
• Data-driven problem solving and strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with SAP and CMMS applications.

Responsibilities

• Direct team members of a large manufacturing area to attain the maximum product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Distributes work assignments to team members per production objectives.
• Meet daily production goals while ensuring safety and quality.
• Prepare reports/analyses for management and drive process improvements.
• Lead corrective actions, PQI initiatives, and Kaizen events as applicable.
• Coordinate with vendors and other departments to support maintenance goals.
• Plan and execute complex maintenance tasks based on CMMS data and equipment condition.
