Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Training and Development Coordinator in Dumas, TX to design, implement, and manage training programs for cheese and whey plant maintenance.

You’ll work to enhance technical skills, safety compliance, and operational knowledge, supporting reliability and continuous improvement across the maintenance team. The role emphasizes hands-on and classroom training on equipment, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and ongoing assessment of training effectiveness

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.
• Minimum 7 years in a cheese and whey manufacturing plant.
• Previous experience in training or mentoring maintenance staff is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of cheese and whey manufacturing processes and equipment is a must.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.
• Familiarity with CMMS.
• Ability to develop and deliver technical training programs effectively.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously and delegate assignments to others.
• Punctual and regular attendance is required.
• English skills must be proficient to understand, read, write, and speak.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement training programs specific to maintenance of cheese and whey equipment.
• Develop and maintain training materials (SOPs, manuals, presentations, videos).
• Customize training for new hires, experienced staff, and cross-functional teams.
• Conduct hands-on and classroom training on pasteurizers, separators, evaporators, dryers, CIP systems.
• Provide training on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Assess training needs via skills gap analysis and supervisor feedback.
• Track training records with LMS/CMMS; report metrics and ROI.
• Partner with Maintenance, Production, and HR to align training with objectives.
• Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new hires and apprentices.
• Source external training vendors when needed.
• Maintain records and ensure regulatory compliance.
