Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Training Systems Specialist in Texas to develop and deliver technical instruction for aircraft and weapon systems, including the M270A2 and HIMARS programs.

Standard Job Description

Establishes and directs a training system and/or conducts classroom and practical instruction to provide technical knowledge for the safe maintenance, repair, and operation of aircraft, aircraft systems, ground equipment, tools, test equipment, stores and facilities, according to established procedures. May analyze current operating problems and future operating requirements to identify training needs and develop training programs. Writes, edits, and produces materials for technical instruction. Provides assistance and support to all divisions in helping them determine their training needs and develop and conduct their maintenance training programs. Establishes and directs the maintenance of company-wide training programs. Establishes and directs the maintenance of a company-wide training and qualification record system. Maintains currency in technical developments, technical training, and audiovisual techniques including the maintenance of company aircraft instruction manuals. Coordinates all required technical training and outside contract sales technical training programs. Exclude ground school instructors.

In this role, you will be on a team responsible for the development and implementation of training systems for Precision Fire Launchers. This includes training associated with both the Engineering/Manufacturing Development and Production/Deployment phases of acquisition for the M270A2 and HIMARS vehicle weapon systems. You will be working across multiple disciplines to ensure all design and technical information is accurately incorporated into an effective training plan and facilitating the transfer of technical knowledge.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Curriculum development for technical instruction
  • Providing assistance with determining training needs
  • Conducting training for both US and Foreign Military Sales customers on the safe maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of vehicles and their associated tools and test equipment.
Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in performing maintenance and repairs on various equipment types. This includes practical skills in areas like mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC systems.
  • The ability to understand and apply Diagnostic/Troubleshooting methodologies
  • Proficiency in the use of vehicle diagnostic equipment.
  • Effectively communicate information and transfer technical knowledge to a training audience.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with multiple disciplines to meet customer requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage tasks effectively.
Desired Skills
  • Have a developed understanding of the Instructional System Design Process. Capable of designing, developing, and updating Training Support Package.
  • Experience in deploying a variety of training modalities for an effective learning experience.
  • Industry certifications in automotive mechanics.
  • International program experience

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $59900.00 - $111300.00
