Chevron's El Segundo Refinery is hiring for a Maintenance Trainee program across multiple crafts. The 3-year training path combines on-the-job assignments with classroom instruction to develop skills in machining, piping, instrumentation, and electrical support.

Entry-level candidates with a high school diploma and a valid driver's license will gain hands-on experience in a safety-focused environment, with rotations through Machinist, Metals Craft, I&E, and I&A tracks at the El Segundo

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• A valid Driver’s License.
• Minimum 2 years of any type of work experience. Military experience is counted as work experience.
• Must be able to use computers to enter work histories and perform corporate compliance activities.
• The position will typically work a 4x10 dayshift work schedule. Typical shifts are Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday but can vary based on work needs.
• Occasional shift and weekend work will be required.
• Willing to work overtime, holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Willing to be on call and meet call-out standards to respond to site responsibilities and emergencies.
• Willing to work outside in inclement weather with or without accommodation on a daily basis.
• Willing to work in compact and confined spaces with or without accommodation.
• Willing to climb ladders, walk up and down steps, and work at heights with or without accommodation.

Responsabilités

• Machinist Trainee: install, maintain, repair pumps, compressors, blowers, turbines, fin fans and gearboxes; machine shop operations.
• Metals Craft Trainee: install and maintain piping and systems; perform welding and fabrication; build boilers, tanks, and pressure vessels.
• I&E Trainee: install, maintain, calibrate, test and repair process controls and analytical equipment up to 115kV.
• I&A Trainee: troubleshoot and analyze online analytical systems for process control and compliance; routine maintenance.
• All crafts collaborate daily with Maintenance, Reliability, Operations and Engineering teams.
