Job summary

Chevron Corporation's Manufacturing Operations at the El Segundo Refinery offers a Maintenance Trainee program. This entry‑level role focuses on asset integrity, reliability, and preventive/predictive maintenance, delivered through a three‑year training plan with on‑the‑job work and classroom instruction.

Trainees may be assigned to Machinist, Metals Craft, Instrument/Electrician, or Instrument/Analyzer tracks and will collaborate with Maintenance Crafts, Reliability, Operations, and Engineering

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Must be able to use computers to enter work histories and perform corporate compliance activities.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair pumps, compressors, blowers, turbines, gearboxes and other equipment.
• Operate machine shop equipment including saw, lathe, mill, boring, and drill press.
• Support coordination with Maintenance Crafts, Reliability, Operations and Engineering.
• Participate in a comprehensive 3-year training program with on-the-job and classroom instruction.
• Work in refinery environment with safety and compliance requirements.
