Description

Position Summary

The Maintenance Parts Clerk will be responsible for managing inventory and procurement of maintenance parts essential for the smooth operation of our facility.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels for maintenance parts.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder parts as needed to prevent shortages.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary parts in a timely manner.
  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming parts ensuring proper documentation.
  • Assist maintenance team in identifying and sourcing required parts for equipment repairs.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized storage areas for easy access to parts.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to understand part requirements and usage patterns.
  • Utilize inventory management software to track parts movement and maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling and storing maintenance parts.

Experience Requirements

  • Proven experience in inventory management, procurement, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with maintenance parts commonly used in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office applications.

Educational & Certification

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in inventory management is a plus.Pass and maintain current industrial forklift & man lift certifications

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
