The primary purpose of the Physical and Occupational Therapy Department at Murdoch Developmental Center is to provide therapy services to residents and deliver appropriate interventions based on evaluations.
The Maintenance Therapy Associate is a non-licensed, on-the-job trained staff who administers maintenance therapy programs and activities to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities under the supervision of therapy personnel. Responsibilities include providing non-skilled therapy to support functional mobility, fulfilling adaptive equipment requests, maintaining therapy equipment, and transporting residents for appointments and events.
Work Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday, 8-hour days (e.g., 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.), with flexibility as needed.

Murdoch Developmental Center is a 24/7 state residential facility in Butner, NC, serving individuals with I/DD. All employees are designated as essential during emergencies.
