Maintenance Job Description

Tree Brand Packaging is seeking a Maintenance employee capable of keeping various machines in good operating condition. The Maintenance Tech will be able to recognize and diagnose issues, as well as make repairs with little to no guidance.

Experience in Preventive Maintenance and Mechanical troubleshooting is a must. Some electrical knowledge is a plus. He/she must be able to work on projects with little supervision and be able to make decisions based on production needs.

Routine Tasks:

Install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.

Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.

Dismantle machinery and remove/replace defective parts.

Maintain inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.

Provide mechanical maintenance and trouble-shooting information by answering questions and requests to other Maintenance staff and OEM team members.

Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Open and close out work orders with details of work completed and parts used.

Use LOTO procedures.

Required Qualifications:

Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator

Ability to Lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)

Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as EMAINT

Interacting with Computers — Using computers to find and process information.

Experience performing maintenance trades such as welding, fabrication, rigging systems, gearbox and bearings, lubrication, pump and piping systems, or hydraulics and pneumatics

Ability to Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with little to no guidance

A least 5 years’ experience in a Maintenance related role and experience with electrical wiring in industrial environment.
