Job summary

Gorman & Company in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Villas on McQueen, a brand-new 157-unit affordable community. The role covers preventive maintenance, repairs, and make-ready tasks to prepare vacant apartments and maintain safety and curb appeal.

Responsibilities include plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance work, and timely responses to maintenance requests. Valid driver’s license required; EPA Type II preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurability requirements.
• Strong customer service skills with a resident-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily maintenance and repairs for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
• Maintain exterior of the property and seasonal prep (e.g., fall cleanup).
• Perform daily property walks to keep areas clean, safe, and presentable.
• Respond promptly to routine and emergency maintenance requests.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents using make-ready checklists.
• Inspect buildings and grounds to maintain safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal.
• Maintain common areas, exterior spaces, and grounds.
• Communicate with vendors, contractors, coworkers, and residents.

What You'll Do

• Complete daily maintenance and repairs for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
• Maintain exterior of the property along with tackling seasonal prep such as fall cleanup.
• Perform daily property walks to keep everything clean, safe, and looking sharp.
• Respond promptly to routine and emergency maintenance requests when assigned.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents using make-ready checklists.

What You'll Bring
