Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance, preventive tasks, and painting prep across hospital facilities. You will manage inventories, order supplies, and coordinate with outside contractors while maintaining logs and safety compliance.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, with ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and preventive maintenance on facilities equipment.
• Repair, troubleshoot and oversee maintenance activities.

• Prepare areas for painting and complete painting tasks timely.
• Order materials, equipment and supplies as needed for jobs.
• Coordinate with outside contractors when assigned and ensure logs are kept up to date.
• Adhere to universal precautions and safety procedures.

Job description

DescriptionResponsible for all Maintenance Functions, Grounds upkeep. Storage organization moving of equipment, Maintenance and Inventory control. Responsible for repairing, troubleshooting and overseeing maintenance Activities. Responsible for maintaining all Facilities equipment. Insure Preventative and required Maintenance, Testing and Inspections are completed on time and properly logged. Responsibilities:Maintain confidentiality of patient information.Adheres to policies and procedures specific to patient rights.Maintains a clean and safe environment: identifies and reports hazards.Assumes responsibility for maintaining required continuing education and other necessary credentials.Prepares areas to be painted and completes painting tasks in a timely manner.Sustains inventory of paint and supplies as needed for jobs.Maintains and organizes supplies and conducts inventory control – referencing and cross-referencing paint colors and numbers.Meets all requirements for mandatory in-services.Completes work orders as assigned.Orders materials, equipment and supplies for all jobs as needed.Maintains and organizes storage areas and conducts inventory control.Make sure all required logs are maintained and kept up to date.Make sure all inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance is done in accordance with required timeframes.Coordinate with outside contractors when assignedAdheres to policies/procedures specific to universal precautions.Promotes a positive image of the hospital to outside agencies and the public.Consistently behaves in a courteous manner.Participates in performance improvement activities as needed.Exhibits excellent service to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.Show courtesy, compassion and respect.Exhibits values of the organization.Qualifications:High School diploma or GED RequiredMoves equipment/furniture as necessary.
