Maintenance Technician Tradesman (Manufactured Home Community)

Summary of Position

We are looking for a hardworking, eager Maintenance Technician to join our team. Primary responsibilities include painting, home remodeling, minor plumbing, electrical work, landscaping, etc. We seek dedicated individuals with a wide variety of skill sets. The ideal candidate will work autonomously and responsibly, observing all health and safety guidelines, and take pride in the standards and services they deliver.

Position Activities and Tasks

1. Assist in setting up ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems, and conduct repairs when necessary.
2. Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
3. Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs as needed.
4. Perform manual repairs (e.g., fix locks, replace windows).
5. Undertake pest control activities such as spraying insecticide.
6. Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned.
7. Maintain grounds and landscaping.
8. Assist in budget preparation and ensure adherence.
9. Mow lawns, weed eat, and trim hedges; perform preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• Carpentry skills are essential.
• Physically capable of manual labor, including lifting, bending, and reaching.
• Positive attitude and willingness to lead and work as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
• Puts high value on quality work and self-supervision.
• Basic understanding of plumbing and other systems.
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
• Working knowledge of tools, appliances, and devices.
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.

Education Level Required

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience Required

• Experience in building maintenance technology or relevant fields is a plus.
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desirable.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
