Job summary

The Valley Townhomes in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join AMP Residential. You will maintain occupied and vacant units, perform repairs, and support a preventative maintenance program to keep the property safe and appealing.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years in property maintenance, EPA/CPO certifications, and a strong focus on customer service and teamwork. On-call hours and after-hours availability may be required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in property management/facilities maintenance.
• EPA Universal certification and/or CPO highly preferred.
• Valid Driver's License with auto insurance required.
• Excellent customer service skills with strong communication and organization.
• Must be self started and self motivated.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartment homes for occupancy by making any necessary repairs
• Complete work orders in occupied homes while providing fast, friendly service
• Follow preventive maintenance guidelines
• Maintain property grounds
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance and all other service requests

This individual will maintain relationships with other service staff, residents and vendors. Some key responsibilities will include providing the highest level of customer service, make regular inspections of grounds and buildings as part of a preventative maintenance plan, complete service requests and assist with the apartment make-ready process.
