Abbey Residential is seeking a high-energy Maintenance Technician for The Abbey at Briar Forest in Houston, TX. The role includes troubleshooting HVAC systems, installing and maintaining appliances, and performing preventive maintenance to ensure resident comfort.

The ideal candidate has HVAC certification, a valid driver's license, 1–2 years of apartment maintenance experience, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• HVAC Certification is required.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• 1–2 years of apartment maintenance experience or related field work.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues quickly.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems in apartment homes.
• Installing and maintaining appliances including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, washers/dryers.
• Performing preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
• Handling light plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Painting, caulking, lock changes, and general interior/exterior upkeep.
• Working as part of a high-performing maintenance team.
• Participating in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies.
