Job summary

Associa is seeking a Temporary Part-Time Maintenance Technician to support upkeep, repair, and overall appearance of residential communities. Flexible schedule and up to 30 hours per week.

This role involves hands-on work and safety-focused tasks, with no company-sponsored benefits for this position. The responsibilities include preventive maintenance, carpentry, painting, plumbing, minor electrical repairs, and maintaining fixtures.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Provide and maintain personal hand and power tools.
• Ability to work at heights up to two stories (24-28 feet).
• Frequent lifting up to 20 pounds.
• 3–5 years of maintenance or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine preventive maintenance to ensure building systems operate efficiently and property conditions remain in good working order.
• Completing general maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and minor electrical repairs.
• Cleaning, repairing, and maintaining building fixtures such as lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters, and drains.
• Operating, inspecting, and performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems as needed.
• Identifying maintenance issues and reporting concerns to management.
• Following all applicable safety procedures and regulations while performing assigned duties.
• Assisting with special projects and community maintenance needs as assigned.

• Knowledge of OSHA workplace safety standards and applicable state and local safety regulations.
• Ability to use and operate a smartphone, email, and other basic technology tools for communication and work-related reporting.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between properties as needed.
• Required to provide and maintain personal basic hand and power tools (e.g., power drill, power saw, screwdrivers, level, hammer, etc.).
• Ability to safely use ladders and perform work at heights of up to two stories (24-28 feet).
• Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
• 3 to 5 years of maintenance, facilities, or related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely perform physically demanding tasks associated with property maintenance.
