Job summary

Associa, a leading community management company, seeks a dedicated Maintenance Technician to support our residential properties. The role focuses on upkeep, safety, and reliable service for residents, reporting to the Onsite manager.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of related experience, strong communication, and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks. On-site duties include on-call coverage and collaboration with vendors to ensure property standards are met.

Qualifications

  • Must communicate effectively with residents, staff and vendors.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance requirements, safety, reporting, and regulations.
  • OSHA safety knowledge and local safety requirements.
  • May be required to provide own basic tools (power drill, screwdrivers, etc.).
  • Ability to safely operate ladders (1–2 stories, 24–28 ft).
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds regularly.
  • 3–5 years of directly related or closely related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Right hand person to Onsite manager and SME in maintenance.
  • Establish routine and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Walk properties to inspect and repair as needed.
  • Review and prioritize maintenance requests.
  • Perform HVAC, drywall, painting, plumbing and electrical tasks.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors onsite.
  • Shared on-call responsibilities including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergencies.

Maintenance Technician

Are you a skilled and dedicated maintenance professional looking to make a tangible impact on residential communities? Join Associa as a Maintenance Technician and contribute to the upkeep and functionality of our managed properties. We are seeking a reliable individual with a passion for ensuring a safe and well-maintained living environment for our residents.

Daily responsibilities
  • Right hand person to Onsite manager.
  • Subject Matter Expert in all things Maintenance.
  • Bring ideas and solution to Onsite manager; establish routine, preventative, maintenance schedule.
  • Walk and inspect property; fix and repair where needed.
  • Review and prioritize maintenance requests.
  • Perform general maintenance to include HVAC, drywall, paint plaster, patch, plumbing and electrical.
  • Contact and coordinate with vendors and contractors onsite.
  • Shared on-call, nights, weekends, holidays, and emergencies.

Requirements
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and clients.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.).
  • Knowledge of electrical and plumbing codes and maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.).
  • Knowledge of OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements.
  • May be required to provide own basic tools (power drill, power saw, screwdrivers, level, hammer, etc.).
  • Ability to safely operate, climb and perform work on ladders (1-2 stories) – 24-28ft.
  • Ability to operate smartphone & email (day-to-day operations, basic communication/monthly expense reports).
  • Must be able to operate a vehicle from one location to another.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • 3 -- 5 years of directly related or closely related experience.
