Job summary

Associa is seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician to support the communities we manage across Indiana. You will perform exterior carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs, and minor roofing tasks to keep properties safe and well maintained.

Strong communication with clients and internal teams is essential. The role requires knowledge of safety standards and the ability to handle multiple tasks with a proactive, detail-oriented approach in a customer-facing environment.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of electrical and plumbing codes and standard practices.
  • Awareness of OSHA worksite safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure building systems operate efficiently.
  • Carry out exterior carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs as needed.
  • Clean and repair fixtures such as lights, doors, windows, gutters and drains.
  • Operate and perform routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
  • Support other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance duties of Associations involving mostly exterior carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, electrical repairs and minor roofing repairs in addition to other exterior responsibilities to guarantee that the communities we manage are properly and safely maintained.



  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate.

  • Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs to ensure that the building is properly maintained.

  • Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters and drains.

  • Operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on systems & equipment as needed.

  • Maintain company issued vehicle (routine PM’s, oil changes etc.)

  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements


  • Must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and clients

  • Knowledge of general maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.)

  • Knowledge of electrical and plumbing codes and maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.)

  • Knowledge of OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements.

  • Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements.

  • Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).

  • Professional customer service skills.

  • Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.

  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures and forms.

  • Time management and time critical prioritization skills.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.

  • May be required to provide own basic tools (power drill, power saw, screwdrivers, level, hammer, etc.)
