Job summary

Yugo is seeking a Maintenance Technician at its Cayce, SC property. You will ensure safety and upkeep of the community, coordinate with residents and management, and perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance.

This role includes on-call duties and proactive inspections to uphold property standards. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will handle work orders, respond to emergencies, maintain pools and shared spaces, and participate in safety trainings

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• EPA Type I certification preferred.
• Pool maintenance certification preferred if required by local regulation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient with technology and online systems.
• Carbon Literacy Certification or willingness to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders efficiently and professionally, with timely, high-quality repairs and maintenance.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies with excellent customer service and follow-up.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, painting, appliance repair, carpentry, and other tasks.
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, equipment, and common areas to identify safety concerns.
• Maintain appearance, safety, and functionality of property and spaces.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents, including inspections and turn activities.
• Maintain pools, spas, and related equipment; ensure safety and local certifications.
• Participate in on-call and after-hours emergency maintenance as scheduled.
• Maintain inventory of tools and supplies; keep storage organized and secure.
• Follow OSHA guidelines and safety training, and communicate with leadership and management.
