We are currently looking for a Standby Maintenance Technician to join our on-site operations team to support a positive experience for our residents. Live where you work for FREE! No commuting expenses or dealing with traffic!

This role requires living on-site in a company-provided apartment and being available to respond to after-hours emergency calls on a rotating basis. The position involves completing work orders according to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician

• Maintain the apartment community, including all daily operational areas
• Evaluate, prioritize, and resolve work orders following company quality standards
• Perform plumbing tasks: pipe fitting, shut-offs, sink replacements, faucet and garbage disposal installations and repairs
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with air conditioners, furnaces, hot water heaters, and boilers
• Diagnose and repair appliances
• Deliver carpentry work: replacing doors, doorjambs, drywall, trim, caulking, and steps
• Perform electrical repairs: switches, outlets, and light fixtures
• Repair ceramic tiles and replace tub surrounds
• Monitor inventory levels of commonly used parts
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Role requirements

• Preferred: experience in multi-family property maintenance
• Knowledge of safety guidelines, procedures, and OSHA regulations
• EPA certification required (training provided if not held)
• HVAC experience preferred
• CPO certification and pool maintenance skills preferred
• Ability to shovel snow and spread salt during winter
• Maintain professional appearance and follow dress code
• Effective communication with residents and co-workers
• Basic computer skills and adaptability to software
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
