We are currently seeking a Standby Maintenance Technician to join our on-site operations team, supporting a positive experience for our residents.

This role requires living on-site in a company-provided apartment and being available to respond to after-hours emergency calls on a rotating basis. The position involves completing all work orders according to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician

• Maintain the apartment community, including all daily operations-related areas
• Evaluate, prioritize, and resolve work orders following quality standards
• Perform plumbing tasks such as pipe fitting, shut-offs, sink replacements, faucet installations, and garbage disposal repairs
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with air conditioners, furnaces, hot water heaters, and boilers
• Diagnose and repair appliances
• Deliver carpentry work including door and drywall replacement, trim, caulking, and step replacement
• Perform electrical repairs like switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures
• Repair ceramic tiles and replace tub surrounds
• Monitor inventory of commonly used parts to ensure adequate stock
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

Role Requirements

• Previous experience in multi-family property maintenance preferred
• Knowledge of safety guidelines, procedures, and OSHA regulations preferred
• EPA certification required (or obtained within 120 days of start via company-paid training)
• HVAC experience strongly preferred
• CPO Certification and pool maintenance skills preferred
• Ability to shovel snow and spread salt during winter
• Maintain a professional appearance per dress code
• Effective communication with residents and co-workers
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn software and apps
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
