Job summary

Thomas Safran & Associates in Los Angeles is hiring an Apartment Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair units and common areas. You will perform make-ready, light plumbing/electrical work, and respond to work orders with a focus on resident satisfaction.

The role offers a full-time schedule, comprehensive benefits, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid vacation and sick days, and company-paid health/dental insurance. TSA provides training and mentorship to develop your skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience in facilities maintenance, hotel or apartment community experience (preferred but not required).
• General maintenance, plumbing and electrical skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills and communication skills.
• Warm, outgoing personality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and turn units for move-ins (make ready).
• Complete typical apartment work orders.
• General preventative maintenance and unit inspections.
• Exterior property maintenance, sidewalk grinding and landscaping vendor supervision.
• Minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical repairs and troubleshooting.
• Replacement and repair of household appliances and items (i.e. refrigerator, stoves, sinks, drains, toilets).
• Opportunity to do basic welding, minor HVAC repair and special projects.
• Light cleaning and pickup of grounds in accordance with safety and sanitizing protocols.

Dunbar Village includes The Dunbar Hotel, a 41-unit, taxcredit community age restricted (55+) and over and Somerville Northand South, a 42-unit, non-age restricted project-based voucherresidential property located in the heart of Los Angeles' historicCentral Avenue jazz scene.

• Regular full-time schedule is Monday- Friday with flexiblestarting and end times.
