Job summary

Norfolk Health & Rehabilitation Center in Norfolk, VA is seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs across the center's structure, equipment and grounds. You will step in for the Maintenance Director when absent.

The role requires at least one year of commercial maintenance experience, ability to work flexible hours, quick response to emergencies, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• One year of commercial maintenance or related trades experience.
• Ability to communicate, comprehend, write messages and follow directions.
• Able to investigate mechanical breakdowns and prevent recurrence via preventive maintenance.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and respond within 20 minutes for emergencies.
• Computer literate (email, order entry, Building Engines, etc.).
• Compliance with EPA and DEQ requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on the center's structure, equipment and grounds.
• Step in as Maintenance Director in their absence.
• Report to Maintenance Director, Administrator or Corporate Maintenance staff.
