Job summary

Acemetal is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our sheet metal fabrication and machining team in the Chicagoland area. You will perform preventive maintenance, manage inventories, and assist in procuring tools and parts to keep operations running smoothly.

Successful candidates will have facility management experience, knowledge of mechanical/electrical/HVAC systems, and good communication skills. This is a safety-sensitive on-site role with opportunity for growth in a reputable Midwest

Qualifications

• Maintenance/facility management experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and HVAC systems.
• Computer skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment per schedule.
• Maintain maintenance supplies inventory and required tools.
• Interact with buyers to procure needed tools, supplies or parts, and may purchase items directly on an expedited basis.
• Complete facility related repairs, construction or installation work as required.
• Complete standard work listed on the Maintenance Assistant Worksheet.
• Take on projects as assigned.
